5 essential questions and a worksheet to help you find the perfect client for your practice.

What kind of people do you enjoy being around or have experience working with? How would you define them as a group?

1.

What problem do you solve? Are the people from question 1 likely to respond to your solution?

2.

What area do you wish to work in? Does this population live or work nearby?

3.

What days/hours will you work? Mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, weekends, or a combination? Take your time on this - it's one of the biggest perks of being a BOSS!

4.

Where are you likely to meet this client / how would this client discover you? Online, referral, outreach?

5.

Worksheet:

Write down a few things these people have in common. It may be activity, demographics, or ailed by a certain condition.

Make a list of your favorite treatments and the people who may suffer from pathologies you treat.

Google "Demographics [zipcode]" and gain insight into your planned market. Highlight important info.

Is your population off work during your hours? A career person is unlikely to schedule before 5 during the week, and a full-time-mom unlikely to schedule after 3 during the week. Adjust if needed.

Imagine where this client is likely to go during their day. Where can you get their attention?
